Flower Petal Craft
This flower lasts all year and can be made from scraps around the house and the yard. Make several of these for a wonderful desktop decoration that never needs watering!
Materials:
thin stick from the yard, or a dowel painted green
8 strips of fabric (any color, any pattern) 1 inch by 4 inches
1 strip of green fabric 1 inch by 4 inches
1 button
glue
Note: This craft works best when done in stages.
Fold each of the 8 strips of fabric in half and glue the edges. Let dry completely.
Once the petals are dried, glue them in a circle shape. Let the glue dry completely before moving on.
Glue the button to the center of the flower. Let dry completely.
Turn the flower over and glue the stick to the back. You may have to hold this for a little bit while the glue sets. Let dry completely.
When the stick is dry, tie the green strip of fabric around it to form the leaves.
